WELCOME
At Bethel, we recognize our desperate need for God to do in our lives what only God can do. As a church, we have adopted Isaiah 61 as a picture of the good news of Jesus Christ that can transform broken lives in this broken world: beauty instead of ashes; the oil of joy instead of mourning; a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. This is the gospel! And we trust Jesus Christ to work in our lives over the long haul so that we can be agents of this same gospel, participating in God’s desire to rebuild, restore and renew. We are a multi-age congregation where people of all ages are able to connect with one another. We don’t run a lot of programs, and we place a high value on our involvement in the wider community as neighbors and workers, and participants in community life.

HISTORY
Bethel Fellowship is one of the original “schoolhouse churches” in the Three Hills area. The schoolhouse was built in 1909, and church services were held in the building right from the beginning. We still use the building today. In the early years, the preachers were Methodist and Presbyterian circuit riders, and the first regular pastor was hired in 1912. There are still some seniors in our church who attended the schoolhouse, and there are children in our congregation today who are the fifth generation of their family at Bethel.
The Bethel school operated for almost 50 years, until 1956. The church continued to meet in the building, officially incorporating as Bethel Fellowship Church of Three Hills in 1966. After operating for almost a century as an independent church, Bethel became a church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Canada in 2005. Bethel has been served by part-time and full-time pastors over the years, and our current pastor has been at Bethel full-time since 2011.

HARBACK

Brad and Tina came to Three Hills from Vancouver with their two children in 2011. They previously pastored in Summerland and Richmond B.C. Brad served as a youth and music pastor.
"After years of being an associate pastor, I felt a strong call from God to preach, and I knew it was time to be a lead pastor where I could shepherd a congregation and open up God’s Word week by week. My practice is to preach through books of the Bible and invite the people into what I am discovering week by week." - Brad Harback
